song lyrics

I Can’t Sing The Blues No More

I’ve got peace in my soul,
I’ve got joy like I’ve never known.
Thank the Lord; found what I was looking for.
Now I can’t sing the blues no more.
I dried my tears, put on a smile where there hadn’t
been one for a while.
Good things in store, Thank the Lord,
I can’t sing the blues no more.

That ole whippoorwill with his mournful song that’s the way I
used to be.
That ole willow tree weeping in the rain that once was a picture
of me.
Despair & Misery were companions to me they kept me low, down in my soul.
Since Jesus moved in I’m a new man,
I just can’t sing the blues no more.

Changing Locations

(1st Verse)
I’ve been running wide open, doing all I can.
Trying to get the message to my fellow man.
The Church of the living is getting ready to go.
The next mile I travel could be in the Air.
The next thing I witness could be Glory square.
There’s a Heavenly stirring in this homesick soul.

(Chorus)
I’m Changing Locations, to God’s new Creation.
I’ve been Watching and waiting,
I’m Changing Locations.

(2nd Verse)
I’ve been checking out that city page after page.
With anticipation, I can hardly wait.
This world holds nothing since that day that I prayed.
The toil of this life I’m leaving behind.
My heart is longing, I’ve got Heaven in mind,
I’m saying my good-byes; you see I’m on my way.

God’s Gettin’ Ready

(1st Verse)
When I woke up this morning opposition blocked my way,
tried to make me stumble before I could start my day.
But I stepped into the throne room and cried Father hear my plea.
I need some reinforcement, send some angels down for me.

(Chorus)
God’s getting ready, God’s getting ready.
God’s getting ready to do something good in me.
I feel a Holy confirmation, He’s gonna change my situation.
God’s getting ready to do something good in me.

(2nd Verse)
I picked up my old Bible and began to read out loud.
About afflictions of the righteous and how God brings them out.
Though I face this adversary I know Victory’s on the way.
I feel a shout within me, with confidence I say.

Hold On

(1st Verse)
Daniel prayed so earnestly but nothing seemed to change.
I know his heart was troubled by the twenty-first day.
But God sent down an angel said he heard your every plea.
He’s been taking care of business, He’s mindful of your need.

(Chorus)
Hold on a little longer for the answers on the way.
Hold on a little longer, Heaven heard you when you prayed.
The adversary fought you and I know you couldn’t see,
but reinforcement showed up and wrought a victory.
Hold on Child for your answers on the way.

(2nd Verse)
You might be in a conflict struggling for your life.
Like Job you feel forsaken in the middle of the fight,
but rest assured you’re not alone for God goes with you.
Just step aside out of his way and let deliverance through.

HOME AT LAST AND FREE FROM SIN

(VERSE 1)

Soon the graves will free our loved ones,
And the clouds will then divide.
Like the parting of the Red Sea,
We’ll go through the open sky.
How we’ve waited for that morning,
Our family circle whole again.
What a joyous celebration,
Home at last and free from sin.

(CHORUS)

This journey has been weary; I’ve shed tears along the way.
But I’ve set my sight toward Heaven and walked this road by faith.
If I had to do it over, I’d gladly do it all again.
Just for that blessed glad reunion, Home at last and free form sin.

(Verse 2)
So many have been waiting for the promise that was made.
As you see the Lord ascending, He’ll return again some day.
On that resurrection morning As Gods children gather in.
Faces glowing, Warm embracing, home at last and free from sin.

If That Mountain Don’t Move

(1st Verse)
I’ve cried a river of tears though it seems
and the pain in my heart is a hurt that won’t leave.
Still I stand by the choice that I made long ago,
I’m going through.
Lord I brought nothing here when I came so if I lose
it all I’ll still praise your name.
I have peace of mind; I know you’ll teach me to climb,
If that mountain don’t move.

(Chorus)
Oh Lord I don’t know what tomorrow will bring,
I’m hoping for sunshine but preparing for
rain.
What ever I face I’ll trust in your Grace to carry me
through.
My feet are so weary at times I can’t stand but you
hold me up when I’ve done all I can.
Like so many times, I know you’ll teach me to climb
if that mountain don’t move.

(2nd Verse)
I’ve spent long nights when sleep never came, it seemed
that my loss far out numbered my gain.
But I held on to hope as it led the way, I made it through.
The tempter determined that I would give in, but you
made a way for me to pass through again.
So I have peace of mind that you will teach me to climb,
if that mountain don’t move.

Still Smilin’

(1st Verse)
You tried to take my happiness, get me down and all depressed but take a good look now I’m still smilin’.
You pulled the rug and watched me fall but check it out I’m standing tall what you see in me is grace profilin’.

(Chorus)
O Lucifer I know you’re mad but you forget just who I had, living inside of me.
It’s not by might or my power but when I’m weak strength is there taking me where I need to be.
satan you’re defeated, Leave

(2nd Verse)
Your tricks are still the same ole things you still
play the same ole games.
You lay your blocks to make somebody stumble.
But you can’t take me down you see for Jesus Christ
lives in me,
And he’s the one that made your kingdom crumble.

The Dark Side Of Grace

(1st Verse)
A homeless in a gutter with no place to go,
An outcast that longs for someone to hold,
An Addict that staggers from the pitfalls he’s faced,
All living examples of the dark side of Grace.

(Chorus)
But on the bright side is a Savior Seeking the weary and lost.
The value of one soul is priceless but he’s paid the cost.
He’s the shepherd that searches relentless till one lamb is safe.
He searches where lives seem forsaken on the dark side of grace.

(2nd Verse)
A young woman with bruises that make up won’t hide.
A lost killer on death row almost out of time.
Someone under conviction yet never gets saved.
A million sad stories are found on the dark side of grace.

The Old Rusty Anchor

(1st Verse)
Someone might be thinking as they look at me.
That ole ship is battered and destined to sink.
But I’ve learned from sailing that storms never last.
I’ve thrown out one more Anchor till this one has passed.

(Chorus)
From my point of view pain and destruction is waiting for me.
Life’s deadly tide crashes my vessel determined I’ll sink.
But I know a rock that’s been proved and tested through
each storm of life.
I’ll throw out one more anchor and rest with the Savior till it passes by.

(2nd Verse)
I’m not the first one to sail these rough seas.
So many have been there long before me.
But what really matters when the fatal winds blow.
Is the old rusty anchor and that one rock that holds.

The Other Side

(1st Verse)
I’ve been climbing up this mountain for a long time now,
Pressed on when it was hard for me to do.
Determined in my heart that I would make it somehow,
because there’s far too much for me to gain to lose.
I overcame the adversaries that withstood me each day
Scared from all the times that I went down.
But as I held on to the promise I got up and found my way.
I can see the other side now; yes I can see the other side now.

(Chorus)
I see God’s Holy bright city, one more family member makes it home.
They’ll be no sickness or dying everyone will know as we are known.
I see the King of all ages, multitudes rejoicing at the throne.
I can see the other side now, I hear the Angels calling welcome
Home.

(2nd Verse)
I heard about a better day if I could believe but at times my feelings challenged my faith.
Resisting all the voice’s that were calling to me, turn around
you fool you’ve lost your way.
Distracted from my vision, I once fell behind, delayed by what I should have disallowed.
But now my heart is overflowing as I’m looking ahead for I can see the other side now, I can see the other side now.
